About me

An enthusiastic geodata scientist seeking the integration of spatial data and remote sensing through new technologies to solve geoscientific problems.

Geology with extra steps

During my undergraduate years, I got to experiment with various areas of Geology. The ones that caught my attention the most were GIS and Remote Sensing. As I started to study GIS in more depth, I saw that there was a more complex and complete world, which would allow me to integrate technologies into the geological industry and also other geoscientific problems, specially aiming to mitigate and tackle climate change events.

Since then, I have taken numerous courses in Python, SQL and data science. All this to get a programming foundation, allowing me to perform task automations, create tools and bring new visualizations.
With this knowledge, I developed personal projects to test my skills, and also shared a learning route on courses for QGIS and Python applied to geology.

My Skills

I believe in the fact that learning never stops and I am interested in learning new technologies, softwares, and programming languages that will help me develop better solving problems tools.

Remote sensing data engineer

Started in August 2024 as a Remote Sensing Data Engineer.

2023

OreFox AI

Geodata science | remote sensing intern

In March 2023, started a geodata science and remote sensing intern at OreFox AI. The main goal proposed by the company was to kick off the remote sensing sector applied to the mineral exploration. The whole workflow was done using python, geospatial libraries and machine learning. As a result of the development, it was indicated to the company a hydrothermal alteration zone where it indicated a promising area. Early 2024 the company pegged the region, and other mining companies pegged the areas around the proposed area of study.

Geologist

Started at MDGEO in 2021 as a Geology Intern. Back then I was responsible for GIS processes, geological analysis, building spatial data base. Then, in 2022 as a junior geologist, I was responsible for well allocation projects, as well as writing reports and automating tasks with Python.

Intern geologist responsable for mapping and surveying Tijuca National Park's roads and trails prone to geohazards. As a result, delivered a map with places with higher risk, recommending mitigations as soon as possible.
